It's Okay, I'm With the Band
Wayne High School students, now is the time to bring out your inner musician!  Mr. Dunfee will begin holding drum line practice Wednesday, January 30, and any student who is interested may attend.  Concert band practice begins Monday, February 4, and runs 3:30-5:00 PM.  Concert band practice is open to any FORMER or CURRENT band student.  Thinking about joining up?  See Mr. Dunfee in the band room!

PCC Meeting this Thursday, January 31
The PCC will meet this Thursday, January 31, at 6:00 PM in the Wayne High School cafeteria.  Some of the topics discussed include fund-raising, new bleachers, and general school/community relations and concerns.  Come on out and contribute!  What's good for our school is good for our community, and what's good for our community is good for our school!  See you on Thursday!

Congratulations, Katie!
We are proud to announce that Katie Wilson has been declared a NATIONAL WINNER in the 2007 Quill and Scroll Yearbook Excellence contest!  Her winning entry was the personal ad pages for Bryan and Aimee Dillon.  Hers was one of only EIGHT winners nationwide in the advertising category for small schools.  As a national winner, she won a Gold Key award and is eligible to apply for a journalism scholarship next year.  Congratulations, Katie!  We're proud of you!  Way to go!

Weight-Lifting Schedule

Any girls interested in weight lifting on Tuesdays and Thursdays will need to see Mrs. Stapleton for a permission slip.  Weight lifitng begins TOMORROW, JANUARY 15, 3:30-4:30.  See Mrs. Stapleton in the office for more details.

Congratulations to JROTC!
Congratulations are in order to the Wayne High School JROTC squads!  They competed this past weekend in Lincoln County.  They placed 1st in Squad Drill, 3rd in Platoon Drill, Advanced Color Guard and LET 1 Color Guard.  They tied for 3rd place overall!  Congratulations, JROTC!  GO PIONEERS!
